Dear Applicant:
Thank you for your inquiry into employment possibilities within our firm. As a bit of background, our company was founded in 2009. We are a close tight knit team and always put our employees first. As a member of our team you would be required to join the Laborers 1686 union and be able to pass their pre-employment drug screen. Together with the union, employees are afforded medical and dental insurance as well as a pension.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in pursuing further, enclosed please find an employment application. I ask that you please complete it thoroughly and return it to our office. Please be sure to include with it a copy of your resume along with a cover letter response answering the following questions:
- Why would you be the best candidate to be a part of our team?
- Can you tolerate outdoor working conditions which often consist of extreme heat and cold?
- Are you physically able to routinely lift more than 50 pounds and be on your feet for 12-15 hours per day?
- Can you and are you willing to be away from home during the work week?
